When the night breaks over the beach, conquering the sunlight, nothing is more distant than the horizon, nothing more mysterious and lovely than the empty violet-black sky. Moonligh off water looks like something otherworldy, a soft silver resting on the suface of dark blue crystal--it's sapphire dusted with broken bits of the moon. Everything that moves on the beach, the palm trees, wind swept sands, clouds now hidden, now pierced with light, everything seems to rise and fall by the breath of the waves. Ocean foam in its frothy turrents overlap like a watery staircase, so inviting, so irresistable. Sharp starlight mirrors twinkling grains of sand, and I wonder how I got so lucky to see all of it.
