Fly
By: Marinea Duppstadt
A song left unwritten
A story never told
Something old and faded
But when it shines it's priceless gold
An unplanned blessing
An unanswered prayer
The lies behind a mask
Hiding a blank stare
A rumor unresolved
Afraid he'll never be loved at all
So scared to sing
But when he spreads his wings
He's the guy you meet
Who leaves you speechless
A beautiful portrait painted from
Beautifully broken pieces
Pain and stuggle etched in his soul seering eyes
Oh but when he spreads his wings and flys
It's beauty like you imagine Heaven
But a sin that remains unforgiven
Struggles and fears that hold him down
He's waiting for the one to turn his world around
I'm praying to God that she'd be me
But i could never bind those beautiful wings
Staying the flame so you dont get burned
But getting burned is the way you learn
But do people ever really change
Or is life just a ruleless game
An unforgettable memory
He just cant seem to remember
