I agree the Nobel Prize seems no longer to be merit based but rather a political statement. Al Gore got it for Science... I mean Really?!?!? The scientist who had to "Share" it with him had to be sooooo P/O'd. Not to say Obama couldn't earn it but, he has done nothing but been elected and if that's all it takes why didn't Reagan get one for being the 1st entertainer to get elected, or Kennedy for being the 1st Catholic, how about Biden for being the first Jew to hold the Vice Presidency. He hasn't eve gone to the Joint Chiefs and demanded that all the Black Soldiers from WWI & WWII that were nominated for the Medal of honor be reviewed again and in deserving cases be awarded their medals. He hasn't increased the peace in either the US or the Mid-East. He's not accomplished anything as yet aside from getting elected not to say he won't and certainly to to infer that he can't accomplish something worthy of a Nobel but, let's give him a chance to earn it instead of throwing it at him for political purposes.
