| Waiting On The World To Change

Im alive and breathing, for all of those who cared. You wouldn't think so by the way I run through the streets. Not through carelessness, but through the stupidity of the drivers. Looking both ways just doesn't cut it anymore.
I just wish time could stop. The seconds are slowly ticking in my head. tick tick tick. Every last one makes me wonder what I'm doing sitting here. Another tick tempts me to talk with no purpose or reason. tick. There flies another one. Another wasted second. Another wasted moment. Another wasted breath. Another wasted beat of the heart.
I hate that Im not making the most of everything. Wasting life away with every fake smile, every pointless conversation, every wrong thought. tick. every late project. every unfinished thought. every mistake. tick.
I wish I could just let go of everything and live but I do believe that in life you have to have dark and light in your life in order to live. You can't be happy all the time because everyone goes through hard times in their life. But you can't necessarily be dark and depressed all the time because if you are you won't live life to the fullest, You have to find a balance. Almost like a clear night sky. Within the darkness there is always some sort of light and vise vera.
On a different note, I participated in a protest called "The Day Of Silence".
The Day of Silence (www.dayofsilence.org), a project of the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) in collaboration with the United States Student Association (USSA), is a student-led day of action where those who support making anti-Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) bias unacceptable in schools take a day-long vow of silence to recognize and protest the discrimination and harassment -- in effect, the silencing -- experienced by LGBT students and their allies.
I walked in a Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender 's shoes and it hurt. I realized how many arrogant people there are in this world, let alone my school. It was such a horrid feeling hearing the monsters yelling out "FAG" or "HOMO". Some people even had the nerve to come up to me and ask me what I was doing, but in a way and tone that reveled that they couldn't care less and that they thought I was stupid. Because of cource Im stupid for standing up for what I believe in. Of cource Im stupid for standing up for people who are beat up and even killed for how they feel.
It's heartbreaking the way people are blatantly against people who are gay. Love is love, isn't it? Love should be an unbiased feeling not a feeling that is defined as something only a male and female can share together. And why shouldn't it be of anyone's concern anyways? They can't change the way someone feels so why bash people who are different and the way they live their life?
And people wonder why at times i'll get upset with the majority of the world that I can't save no matter how hard I try. It's hard standing up and trying to get change when so many people are closed minded and afraid of change.
and fade to black. |

I also participated in the Day of Silence. I myself am not gay but that doesn't mean it isn't important. Everyone should be treated the same, i'll gladly trade a my voice for the cause.
