 first kisses and jesus fishes
Okay so I dedicated a whole post to my first kiss (among other things) but I forgot to mention how I feel right now about God. "Oliver" was wearing a little rubber bracelet with a jesus fish on it. I'm so glad he's catholic too. But anyways..... I know there are so many people out there who hate posts like these. People just talking about how great God is and blah blah blah. Or what an inspiration the faith is or how the church is pushing people into their religion. But I'm not trying to convince anyone or make anyone believe something they just don't think is true. But I am so SO glad for my relationship with God. I feel truly blessed to be so close to him because it just makes you feel.... safe and pure and... carefree. It's hard to describe but I am just so glad for it. At my young age too. Today is Good Friday. Do I know if this is a holy day of obligation? no, I do not. I can't name them all like I'm supposed to be able to do. When it comes to actually KNOWING the faith and the history of everything or the rules, I'm not that great. But that sholdn't classify if I'm a good Christian or not. My mom asked me today if today was a holy day, and said I better know because I am studying this stuff. Well I don't think that should matter. It's the RELATIONSHIP you actually have with God that matters. I don't know why I feel so close to him, but I do. Maybe because I pray every night and I just try to be an overall good person. There are a lot of people who think being a good catholic means not having fun. That is NOT the case at all and I hate how people think we are so boring. We can have fun just like everyone else....just minus the having sex with everyone. And is that such a sacrifice? Well I know there are some people nodding their heads away but I'm fine with out. Idk I just felt like sharing that. I want to call my friend and tell her about today at my bf's house. But her boy friend is at her house. I don't want to interrupt.

Good Friday is a holy day of obligation. One easy way to remember what they are is to consider how important the particular day was in the life of Jesus and in our faith. Therefore, Easter and Christmas will also be holy days of obligation. Ask your priest for a complete list. I am sure he will be more than willing to provide you some guidance. AND I AM SO PROUD OF YOU FOR SAYING YOU ARE HAPPY WITH NOT HAVING SEX WITH EVERYONE. That is something very beautiful to be shared between a husband and a wife. Your future husband will love you all the more for waiting for him on your wedding night. If he is half the man that you deserve to get, he will also be a virgin and you two can explore the bliss of wedded sex together, as it should be, and not the back room crap that goes on in too many of our movies and in too many of our lives. You hang in there young lady. Some of us are so very proud of you and your stand and know that you are right. Bye and sorry for intruding in your life.
