 creation vs evolution

some of you may or may not know that i am a religious person.  so, i saw a sign while driving today at a church about the discussion of this topic.  thought i might write about it.  most may not want to read it, but maybe it will provide some insight to others on my views.  this will leave further discussion open(in my opinion about fates and other religions and such).  but, i will try not to go into that.

there are always debates on evolution and creation.  many believe that we were created by God.  others believe that we evoloved from single celled organisms.  i would like to share with you about my view on this.

firstly, i believe heavily that both happened.  i believe that we evolved from a lower form of organism.  i also believe that we created by God.  could be confusing to think this way, but i kinda had an epiphany today.

creation by God took 6 days to complete.  we all know the first part of the bible.  He created the animals.  then He created man.  evolution states that we evolved slowly through millions of years to be where we are today.  now, i will try to combine those two.

in the begining, God created light and dark... heaven and earth.. water, plants, animals.  then God created man.  we all know this.  also have heard about darwin.  we all know how scientist have shown how worlds were put together.  lets just think for a second, and put these two together.  most people think when they read about how creation took 6 days, they take it He took an actually six days.  we have no way of knowing how long it actually took.  how can we say that His day was not millions or billions of years?  how can we know that the plants and animals that He created were not the plants we see today, but tall ferns and enormous trees.  how are we to know that the animals that were created were not the ones today, but dinasours?

this is all just speculation, yes, but, im trying to shed light into this.  most scientist will say, that the more they study in their field, the more they believe in God.  what if, He created the dinasours first.  what if they roamed those millions on that one "day".  meanwhile, evolution is going on.  with us in mind.  what if, just a couple years ago, it was the next day, and He created man.  now, most will say that we appeared out of nothing, dirt from the earth.  but, if you think about it, where did most living things"evolve" from?  components of the earth.  what if He gently guided that first primate to stand up, being to walk upright, to begin the long road to His idea?  whose to say that we are his final idea?

i just want to say again, that i believe in both, im trying to intregrate the two.  most will say you cant, but i believe that you can.  i could go on longer, but a blog is supposed to be kinda short, so, if anyone would like more thoughts on this, let me know, and i love to share what insights i have.

I, too, hold a similar view. Haven't really thought it out, but the bible is all about evolution, change, and transformation. As humans, we are constantly evolving, but in Christ, we undergo a different kind of transformation - a spiritual transformation.

Eve came from the rib of Adam, but that also has a hint of evolution doesn't it? The amoeba evolves from a single-cell to a multiple-cell organism. There is, however, some scientific inconsistencies with the theory of evolution, so it is very hard for me to be definitive about creation/evolution and God. God allows for change in His divine plan, so I can hold to that thought and effect change within me by evolving spiritually, which gets me closer to God and back to my roots. We will never really know the whole truth about evolution, but anything that has been identified by humans has at its origin God; hence, evolution also has its roots in God, the originator of everything.

If that makes sense? I do agree with your thoughts on this.
