Every weekend, I am watching some type of sports on the TV. I haven’t been to many live sporting events. Except two NHL games, the Dallas Stars and the Washington Caps, when they still had Jagr. Then the Dallas Stars and the Ducks. I’ve been to one NFL game, so long ago, that my kids were not born yet, and the team no longer exists. Well, they exist. Well, their colors are the same. Any wild guesses?? The Houston Oilers, and the NY Jets, 1984. Talk about a blast from the past. I think I was going for the Jets of course. I don’t do Texas Teams. I went to see the Astros at the astrodome when I was Five years old.
Yet, I’m from the west coast, and I’ve never seen the 49ers play live, or the Raiders, or the A’s or the Giants. It would have been nice. But ahhhhhhhhh, that’s so past tense I’ll talk about something else.
The Oilers, Houston Oilers, love ya blue, does anyone remember that. I don’t even think I started watching football until that following fall. But on any accountt, I started really getting into football in 1981, followed it pretty much ever since. I skipped a few years when I was introduced to Hockey. Ahhhhhhhh, Hockey…….. Okay, still talking about football.
The Oilers, not the Tennesse Titans, when they left Houston they made it to a Super bowl. They didn’t win, but they made it that far. The Oilers, Nope, can’t say that they ever won a super bowl. I can’t say that they ever made a Super Bowl appearance. My teams, The 49ers, the Oakland Raiders, and the Green Bay Packers, my alternates would be the Seattle Seahawks, and maybe one other team. I’ve watched the 49ers win three super bowls in the 80’s, and the Oakland Raiders in 1983, they came close over the last couple of years, but like the 49ers, they have been in a major slump for a couple of decades wouldn’t you say? I know the Detroit Lions have never won one. They have never made an appearance either. The Cleveland Browns haven’t. I could probably tell you all the teams that have and sum it up a lot easier.
The San Francisco 49ers’, (5 Super Bowls), The Dallas Cowgirls, (5 Super Bowls), The Pittsburgh Steelers, (5 Super Bowls), The Green Bay Packers, (3 Super Bowls). The New England Patriots, (3 Super Bowls), The New York Giants (3 Super Bowls), The Chicago Bears 1, The Indy Colts (2 Super Bowls), once when there were the Baltimore Colts. The Miami Dolphins (2 Super Bowls). The Broncos, five appearances and one win. The Washington Redskins, (4 Super Bowls). The Rams, but when they were with St. Louis, not Los Angeles. The Raiders, twice as Oakland, once as LA Raiders. The Baltimore Raven’s, Just one super bowl win. The Chiefs 1, The Jets 1, The Buccaneers 1.
Isn’t that something or what? Was that pretty confusing, sometimes, I can write that way.
The teams that I would like to see win the Super Bowl, are The Seattle Seahawks, The Cleveland Browns, The Carolina Panthers, The Jacksonville Jaguars,
