April 2009----------(sx1)

April has come.....My daughter who loves to draw came home and told us a picture she drew was going to be in an art show. The show is held once a year and it shows off the talents of the local schools. Only a few from each grade get picked..She was SOOOO happy about it. well the day came to see the show and we had tornadic weather around us and couldn't leave the house when we wanted,plus the computer was working really slow.It also just happened to be the day that my wife had to schedule her work days into the work system...Well everything was going wrong and she started to yell and scream at the kids, they kept coming in to ask her if we could leave yet .. I told her she needed to RELAX...After 45 minutes,she got to put most of the schedule in and just gave up on the rest..We had to try and make it to the show. We left and got there with 5 minutes to spare...It was a GREAT ! she drew a great picture..
Spring break is coming and it doesn't look good for our first camping trip..Bad weather, Rain and COLD!!! I haven't tried to use the furnace in our pop up yet and it runs on LP gas,I'm not comfortable yet on using gas...If we go I'll bring space heaters we can plug in..
Rain all week is what the weatherman is saying, except for Wed into Thursday, actually nice weather.. Last minute change in trip plans.... We decided to stay local and go to the campground 8 minutes from home. This way should anything go wrong with the pop up, we can still come home...Kids are happy we get to use it, they don't care where we go as long as we go somewhere...
We had a blast at the campground, Fishing,campfire,hot dogs, Smore's and a movie to cap the night..The kids were happy that Mom got to come for a little while. She had to work on Thursday and had to leave early. Definitely going back, even if it's for an overnight..
Went to in service today(4-10-09) and it stormed during the day...I got a little nervous when I found out a tornado hit just blocks from my mom's house and I couldn't get in touch with her. I called my brother who was supposed to go and mow her lawn today, he said he talked to her and everything is fine, he will be there in about 2 hrs...I talked to him and he said he's at the house and there is no damage, just no power....My sister who lives a few blocks away and checks on her everyday is on vacation in Vegas, she got scared when she heard about it on the news over there,but all turned out well.

April 12th,2009--------------HAPPY EASTER!!!!!!!---------------Good day, alot of fun with everyone in the family, even after the usual Easter morning meltdown about no one being ready...Of course it was my fault, she didn't wake up or get up with the alarms and while she showered, I got up and fed the kids breakfast-eggs and toast, then shaved and showered,but, I wasn't fast enough...so we all got yelled at AGAIN!! It was expected, this happens every year...but,it didn't bother me, I knew it was coming and besides..I got lucky yesterday!!!!! So, I'm happy.....It takes little to please me...she cooked a nice meal and I cleaned the whole kitchen..well more next time....
April 18th- I believe today she hit an all time low. Every night when she lays on the couch she always brings in a glass of water and puts it on the floor..Well let's see? 9 and 7 year old running around the house and a 100 pound dog( 10yrs old) trying to stay away from them, Gee what do you think is going to happen one day??? Well tonight my son who hasn't missed a day in 3 yrs to spill something on a daily basis came running in a hit the glass. Actually barely tapped it and knocked it over. She sat up on the couch and went off on him yelling and screaming. She also used the occasional profanity words that she says when she gets mad ( with the kids around of course)..But, tonight's meltdown was different than most, She kept repeating to him over and over again what he did and he kept apologizing and she would not stop, even after he started to cry.. I was getting more paper towels (because we ran out) from the closet and when I walked in to the living room again I ( for the first time in 5 yrs) yelled at my wife to stop!! I told her she made her point and just stop! I said to her to just go outside and smoke..I think it was the 3-4 time I have ever yelled in front of the kids..Funny thing, everyone knows what to do when my wife starts to yell, whichever person is getting yelled at has to stay and everyone else kind of backs away and leaves..even the DOG! As always she calmed down and said sorry to everyone and the kids forgave her, but I still have not...I still can't believe she did what she did to him...
April 20- Just as I was getting over the water meltdown incident we got into another "discussion", This one took place at dinner, we talked about who was going to get up with the kids for breakfast. The kids mostly like it when I do it, because I don't get crazy getting loud when they move slow (much). They like it when she does it because if they don't want to eat, then she lets them sleep on the couch until it's time to go get ready for school. I make them drink at least a glass of milk if they don't want to eat breakfast. All of a sudden, she turns to me and says...Why do I make them do that? " When was the last time you drank milk?" and she starts with I shouldn't make them do something if I'm not going to do it.. At first I thought she was joking around, then she started to make comments in front of the kids about how they should make me do it before I make them do it, she started to belittle me in front of kids,because I make them drink milk when they don't eat breakfast...
April 21st-22nd- Still upset over the whole "milk" deal. my girl had a soccer game today, I was about 8 minutes late because I just got off work. up to this point this season, she has scored at least 2 goals in every game, tonight she only had one and it tied the game 1-1, we're still Undefeated but with 2 ties now...It was a good game, they were intimidated by one girl on the other team ( big girl!!height and weight), they just kept away from her..good game though..On the 22nd I worked a night shift and it turned out to be a very good shift, call wise..I on the other hand had some kind of stomach thing going on and was visiting the bathroom every hour on the hour ( not vomit either..). Not one call in the last 5 hrs and I was able to get much needed rest..Because on the 23rd I was a chaperon for my girls school trip to the Zoo.. I was a little nervous because I was in charge of 3 girls ( all best friends with each other) and always trying to get into something. They were good, we had fun.. I felt bad though because I didn't spend good quality time with my girl due too trying to keep an eye out for the other two girls. So, they let us sign the kids out early on school trips and originally was planning on going home after they left the zoo and try and get some rest before I had to go back into work that night again. But, since I felt bad about it, I signed her out and we both just went looking around the Zoo..She knows I like to watch the monkeys and we walked over there and watched them for about 15 minutes. then we just walked around. I only wanted to stay about an hour, so I can still go home and get about 2 hrs before I had to go to work, but the we ended up staying for another 2 1/2 hrs.. I had enough time to get home and relax for about a 1/2 hour before I had to leave.. He had mercy on me!! We only had 2 calls that night and the last one was about 2030. Needless to say, I got some of the best sleep that night at the Fire hall.
25th and 26th-She worked 2 in a row...These are not good days when she works 2 in a row. The day before she works is a prep day, and you need to stay out of her way because she has to get so many things done for the 2 days she is going to be at work.. Because if she doesn't do it then it won't get done until she is off again...Because I don't do anything,at least,that's what she says...The weather finally changed and it was going to be a great weekend, I wanted to take the kids camping, maybe make the 9 hr drive to the beach, but, she said already we were not going to the beach if she wasn't going...so that went out the window. I missed my chance, the only one working was her,I was off, the kids are off and no soccer that weekend.. As usual, she comes home and says it was the worst day ever at work, then she tells me that she is only going to work half a day tomorrow,because she talked someone to come in for her for half a shift. Sunday I took the kids to church school and finished some yard work from Saturday. I turned both gardens and planted our plants, pulled lots of weeds, dishes,swept and vacuumed. I found alot of things to do while the kids were at a friends house. Sunday night we went out to dinner because she was in no mood to cook since she worked the night before and half the day today..We went to Outback..I was very disappointed in it, they have gone from being really good to it fills ms me up type dinner... not worth the prices they charge now...
Monday while the kids were at school she jumped me about something I had done and the whole milk deal came back up..I'm just glad I have to work tomorrow again. We got into a big discussion about the whole swine-flu and she has already started talking about how she is going to be the one to get it, and how she needs to go out and buy whatever it is they are saying to help you get through it. So of course, now every Mexican she See's has it.She wants to keep the kids away from ANYONE who coughs,sneezes....We saw on the news that the high school breakout is a school about 5 minutes from where she used to live and now everyone is eventually going to die from this...
So, I guess this is our disease of the month in this houshold,At least it's something new....I got lucky. . over all,better than norm, because of me getting lucky... That's it for now...I'm going to post this and if anything happens on this last day of April, I'll post in May's letter.
