Speed Dating

Never in a million years would I have thought that I would go speed dating. Now I did not go by choice, I was practically dragged from my room by my sa and ra. If I would not have put my own shoes on I am sure they would have done it for me. It was one of the most awkward nights of my life. I guess it was suppose to be a wing bonding thing, which it really wasn't because my roomie and I were the only ones from my wing that went, and we do not need anymore bonding time. Before we left they told us that quite a few of them already had g/f's and a lot of the girls already had b/f's so it was more or less just to meet new people and make friends. Whatever I still did not want to go.

So I get there and they have a sheet of paper with a bunch of "ice breaker" questions on all the tables...I sat down and the first guy I talked to was "forced" to go too, so that conversation was really awkward. But as the guys rotated things got a little easier. I was still pretty lost, and uncomfortable, but quite a few of the guys seemed the same way. I was not a fan of the whole thing, but I did have two guys that wanted to talk to me again. One said he would find me on Facebook, because he would be able to find me better than I would be able to find him, and the other offered to help me with my math...I probably will not take either of them up on any offers, but there was one guy that I would talk to again....after the whole thing was over the guy that offered to help me with my homework came up to me and said " I see you survived". Kind of awkward, and after he left the people that dragged me there started laughing at me, because they thought it was funny that he seeked me out to talk to me. I did not notice this but I guess two guys were standing up against the side wall and were checking me out...so now they consider me a guy magnet.

Ahhh the whole thing was not me, I did not like the way it made me feel, or the way my roomie and the people that dragged me there talked to me afterwards, maybe I am just over reacting which is highly possible because I tend to do that often, but whatever, we will see what happens.
