Sleep Late and Good Hummus

I have been sleeping so late when I am off work. It makes it so hard when I have to go back to work and get up at 4:45 AM. But it is just too nice! Here I am at almost 10 and I have not yet got out of bed. I need to get on the bike and ride but damn it is 44 degrees!

I was planning to go to Phoenix yesterday, stay the night and ride today...alas I had too much to do here with errands and such. Plus I am not sure of my level of welcomeness

I am working on it though and I hope the things I do here over the next weeks change that

I ended up going to Armitage last night for chow and of course the red stuff....it was busy! I had a flight of American Pinots (a Cathy from California 2003 was very good) and I had a very good Cab (Duckhorn 2004 which was $18 a glass but well worth it!). Just kind of chilled and focused on my thoughts. I also had some really good stuffed chicken and some amazing hummus (I like hummus!)

I ended up making my reservations for Florida...flying out Friday probably hitting EPCOT center, maybe the beach, maybe the movie studios..just play it by ear. I got my hotel somewhat set up for the conference..Embassy Suites near convention...looks like a great place, they serve cooked to order breakfast and cocktail hour. I have mixed feelings about the trip...it is nice but so hard to go alone...would be great to have a laugh out loud fun partner to enjoy it with. Oh well!

Today I guess I need to get out and ride...then who knows...I do have a ton of work I need to get accomplished before next week so that will probably be my weekend. Got to get it done before my trip! I will get me a good espresso mocha though..one of the pleasures in life, you got to find and experience them while you can. Ahhh forbidden love!!
