My mountain bike race went as I expected this morning...after being on a business trip for over a week with little exercise and much drinking and eating I was not in the best shape.  I did get second place but, ha ha, there was only three racers!!  The guy in first was just ahead of me but I could not close down the gap, I could not find that burst of energy to catch him.  I suffered greatly though, man I was gasping for breath most of the race...hmm I definitely need to pull a rabbit out of the hat or something before my next race, which is at White Tanks again on Feb 9.  Hey a will still cherish my silver medal cause I did work for it.  Yeah!!  Hmmm I think that I am getting sick though....coming back on the plane from the trip there was this lady cough and sneezing right in front of me.  A bit of a sore throat..not too bad yet.  I stopped at the coffee shop at baseline and 51st and got me a mocha (it was the only coffee shop I went by on may way home) and worked on some legal paperwork.  Darn I did not get to see my fav person!!!  I made great progress and everythings ready.   Wow I hope I do not get too sick, I am sure this race today did not help my immune system.   It is good training though.
