Today the twins are three! They are walking tall now and starting to talk. Piper just talks the day away. She can't wait to be able to finish sentences. Pepper, on the other hand, hasn't said a word. Mute? Deaf? The doctors aren't sure. She doesn't answer to her name or any other name but she intently listens to conversations. The doctors aren't sure if she is listening or reading lips. All the same, she isn't speaking. By nature or by choice. The mother just wants to hear her little girl's voice. The father is saddened by his daughter's improprieties. Why doesn't she just be like her sister? A question that will haunt the couple later.
