I never thought I would do this but as a fun experience and to maybe feel better about my future I figured what the heck, Will keep you all posted
Househusband: I am not one to not help w/ housework, but in the last few days I got on a tear. Did whites and went to the laudramat to dry them. Washer in the house but can not have a dryer. Did sheets, pillow cases, washed the kitchen floor, cleaned the toilet, cleaned the tub, remade the bed...."I noticed" was all the wife says.
I mean I am not expecting brass band but......
Passport: Sent mine in to be renewed. KP trip or not I will be doing some air travel in the next year and that is ALWAYS a great thing to have. The thing is why does the photo always look bad?
I mean I have pictures lately where I look great and then this looks like i am a homeless man
Customer Service: One of the things I am doing lately is paying off a few bills.
So the other day while I was home being househusband I called a few of the companies.
Is it that hard to tell me the truth?
If when I call your system is down, tell me. Do not ask me for everything but my sister's bloodtype "for security reasons" and then 10 minutes tell me it is down so you can not take my payment !
Also, I know you have to read all this legal stuff so that you meet requirements, but if the computer has a glitch, and the payment does not go thru the first time you try, I hardly think you need to repeat the monolouge again! I know, if my payment is made on Christmas or New Years it will not credit till the next buisness day. I was concerned about that in April.
And w/ one bank I had two cards due to all the take overs and mergers. I closed on account out and the other I wanted to leave open and have them resend me a card I can use in a pinch. The woman actually asked if I wanted cards on the closed acct because she could not do that as it was closed !!!
And the funny thing is this, when I asked to speak to someone in a domestic call center, i hate trying to explain things above a 3rd grade level to someone that has limited English in the first place, and it also keeps jobs here, they switched me to a woman that asked why I was switched to her. I explained that I wanted to keep American jobs in America. She said she was in Canada. I told her that was close enough, if you guys had wised up and helped in 1776 we could all be one country.
All I want is a surprise, is that alot to ask?: My birthday is coming as you all know from a prior post. This year I asked that my wife set this all up and surprise me. All I know is this....she has had to ask everyone and their brother how to get to all the places we are going to the point I am almost tempted to just say "OK where are we going and I will plan the trips." At 46 years old you should not be this helpless ! I will not ask for the reason it spoils my fun and also that maybe she learns how to get from place to place/how to be self sufficient....she has been given enough fish. Time to cast and fish on your own
I am giving her major kudoos for trying
But when I feel that she is just being helpess again, she starts to .lose all those points
