| The proof is in the loafing |

My son never fails to prove my point, and not in a good way...
Like any kid his age he is a bit lazy. Now the fact he has two jobs might make that statement sound a bit nuts. The fact he on the fire and resure squads might make it sound now like I need to be put in a rubber room for thinking he is lazy. But trust me he is.
My proof is a his room where he has been asked day after week after month to clean it, has had entire weeks off from school and work and has yet to meaningfully do anything in there.
Now we have another seperate issue with him. He is needing a car so I an d my wife can actually have our lives back. Usually I am left stuck in the house as NQRW and he take the two cars we own, both of which I insure with no help from them, to whereever.
We offer to take him car shopping, but he is too busy, too tired or his schedule does not allow it. But if he really needed a car I think he might find time.
Dad's car will do just fine, and if he dares to be busy, mom's will do.
Well maybe we found a solution.
This morning it all came to a head.
Two great solutions that work great together
No car until the room is clean....and this brought on a wave of "No wonder I do not have a girlfriend without a car.", and "You want me to quit my jobs???!!!"(PS he can bike to the jobs)...all the guilt buttons.
I stood steady
Then I leave and walk to church as it was a nice day and I needed the walk(NQRW was at work early).
I come home an hour later.....
Now if this was me at his age my father would come home to a buzz saw going thru his room cleaning. Not stopping till he was done. Dad was not happy, I had messed up, I needed to do what he wanted as he meant buisness!!!!
I came home to a buzz saw
The type that saws wood while you sleep
