 The party

I realized that I never updated everyone on the party we had for my son for his graduation.  And really it was uneventful.  We ate, we drank, met my newest cousin in law(or whatever you call your spouse's cousin's child) and everyone but one person that was scheduled to show came.
I did what I always do and make it my mission to make the baby laugh, and I did.
Mom and dad came and I just kept my lil mouth shut.
My mother in law worried about too much food and while yes we have left overs NQRW did ok in planning this.  She was "right" for a day.
I had complied a DVD of my son growing up over the years, from pics my wife had from before I met her as well as the 100's of pictures that I have taken since and put it all to music.  That was what all the music posts were about last week.  Everybody loved it.  Did feel weird though when NQRW's family, none of whom know we are having issues, are all praising me and all I can think is "You will all hate me in a few months."
But it went well. No fights. No big spills that I could not clean off the rug(it was not at our house) and everyone got along.

And the one small blemish?
It is Tuesady
party was Sunday
have yet to hear "Thank you" from my son to his mother or me,
at 18 I think you may have passed the stage where you get prompted to say it

Oh and one other small thing but that is part of a next blog so......

You want your wife to say thank you to you when I think you said she did the food and I'm sure other things as well? Maybe I just don't know this issue but 18 yr olds don't always say ty for anything. Sorry....:(

I have my 17 year old thanking us for going to get him food..ha!
