OK for anyone that title you will, I hope, by the end(and if not I will explain). I hate Halloween. I mean I really hate it. The thing that ran around in a costume celebrating, when I was a KID(key point), where maybe one house got really made up, where maybe one woman answered the door all made up like a vampiress(looking back some of those women were not bad looking in that get up..LOL)...that was one thing. Today it is another!!! If some kids want to dress up as Superman or a baseball player or a witch, great!!! Kids in costumes are cute as hell. And if MAYBE you want to put on a mask as an adult when you open the door, or maybe even get in full costume to gret the kids that come, Ok. And if in your late teens and early to mis 20's you want to go out, dress up and get blasted and Halloween is as good an excuse as the sun came out, OK. What I hate with a passion is the fact I drive by 15 houses that make their lawn up like a grave yard/haunted mansion/death trap....What I hate is that adults, and using that term loosely here, dress up and come to wrk in some sort of costume...HELLO work is work it is not playtime!!!! And grow up!!! I remember when you outgrew Halloween in your mid teens, now 50 yr old men rum around like 2 yr olds!!!!! And what is this all about? DEATH..Listen I love Christmas like nobody else, I would spend a fortune to make my house into a Christmas dreamland if I had it(within reason), but that holiday is about positive things even if you are not religious. This thing in October is about death and killing and that negative crap....and if you disagree stop and look at one of those lawn displays and show me a positive image. And I think this all is about the fact that people of my generation(I am technically a Baby Boomer but I have ofter thought that there should be another name for us that are at the tail end as I was months old when JFK was killed and most babyboomer remember that, hell I barely remember RFK dieing and there are boomer that worked on his campaign)refuse to grow up....and there is lil hope for the next generation in that we have grown men, man-children, that are playing video games. Listen this is going into another subject that I will address another day so.....OH and the title,,,remeberas a kid that animated special about how Santa Claus was developed, how he did all he did, and there was a a guy running the town the Burger Meister Meister Burgerthat abolished gifts and toys...well that is the explination.....later
