Speaking in Milwaukee, Wis., on Monday, she said, “People in this country are ready for change and hungry for a different kind of politics and … for the first time in my adult life I am proud of my country because it feels like hope is finally making a comeback.”
Now had she simply said she was proud of her country for all this hope that was one thing
But, to say that this is the first time in her adult life that she was proud of the country is a different story.
And I think this makes people like me even more worried that while her husband seems to not be into race politics, not into "us" vs "them", Michelle Obama just may be !
The country came togther like never before post-9/11 , she was not proud then?
We are doing more for Africa than anytime before, she is not proud of that?
She lives in a free country that allows people to worship, speak, write...all in any way they want; but she is not proud of that?
Listen, I am no Hillary fan, she is a real socialist and John McCain was maybe the most electable on the Republican side while nowhere near as Conservative as I like my candidates. And this whole speech stealing flap was nonsense as the person he "stole" from is a good friend and advisor...but this Mrs Obama is the person that has her husband's ear like no one else on the planet worries me.
I think that the First Lady, while she makes no policy, does make alot of decisions as to what to speak to her husband about, and also should be someone that is ALWAYS proud of her country
