I know that people will say I am just nieve, but I believe Rodger Clemens. I think he did not use steroids. Why? Well a number of reasons 1) He is too much a health freak to do that to his body. He knew the hazards and I do not think he is a genius and yes people do things that go against their beliefs at times, but I think knowing what he knew about the hazards that he would do that. So how do you explain the surge since he left Boston? He was washed up and then explodes and becomes even better...how? The man is obessessed in that he hates being told "NO" or "can't" so he worked out and did all the natural things you do and proved them all wrong. 2)He loves his mom and would no nothing to shame himself to her. If this was a one shot deal years ago I might think he did it in a moment of weakness he slipped. The story presented seems to be longterm use, and that is not something he would want his mother knowing about. 3) This trainer was squeezed for a big name so he gave them one, that phone calls seems to make me think that he was put in a corner, gave a name and now is trapped 4) Clemens is not letting this die. I know that there is a thought that if you yell innocent loud enough people will say ok you are just to shut you up even if you are guilty. But this is different..he wants lie detectors and being under oath and lawsuits and all that. He seems to not give an inch on the denial. He is not saying he did not knowingly use, or that he did not take a substance that was banned when he used it, or I want to talk about helping little kids and not the past or any of that..he says I DID NOT TAKE THIS STUFF!!!! He is too stronly denying something that there is at least a chance someone else saw him do other that this trainer if he did it. He leave himself WIDE open to being a liar if they prove he did it. There is no "depends what you mean by 'is' " And one real weird arguement aginst the guy came up the other day in that he is retiring so he must me guilty...what??? a 45 year old pitcher that had flirted w/ retirement for 4 years decides he now means it and that proves he used steroids???? huh???Or the arguement that he is a hothead so must be steroid rage..right, so every angry guy in the world is a juicehead????
