| Meredith may kill me for this

I am sure in the thoughts.com world there are other Yankee fans, but the one I know best is Meredith, so as I said I think she may kill me for this but maybe the current slide of the Yanks may be my fault.
The year I met my wife was the year of the baseball strike. And if I remember correctly, we were in first when that season ended.
So, in theory we would have made the post-season had there been one.
I married her that next year and ever since then the Yankees have made the post season. We won championships again. I even got to see then win one in person !
Now it looks like things may be very shaky between us. We are trying but as some have said, that ship may have sailed. It is possible that by this postseason I will be divorced. And the American League East is being lead by the Tampa Bay Rays and the Yankees may end their storied time in Yankee Stadium with a very bad season (I knew they should have hired Mattingly as the manager).
Is this all my fault?
Am I the curse?
Although....they have not won a championship in years, and I have not really been happy in my marriage in a bit, maybe the solution is me being happily married.
Hmmmmm

Cute post. I cannot believe the Rays are at the top. Since I live in Tampa, I am well aware of how badly they have sucked over the years. Now they are talking about a new stadium that is not airconditioned and I think it will be a bad move since it's blistering hot here. Oh well.

HOW COULD YOU???
Actually, I think your "curse" is being strenthened by crappy, inconsistent pitching and injuries. Even the best of marriages would not be a good enough substitute for good pitching. Nice theory, though :)
I am still your friend.

Marriages, like baseball games, are won or lost in the middle innings. Sometimes you just gotta play through the slumps and keep your eye on the ball. Go Red Sox.
