Maybe it gets better from here,,,I hope
Read a study today that 44 is the age that you are the least happy.

Well I only have a few more weeks of 44 so maybe things get better from here, I hope so.

I know I have health and a job and all that but today has been hard.

I got a call from my sister and it seems that her husband got a very lucrative job in Los Angeles and they are moving in late April. I could hear her voice with all the excitement and passion and all.  I could hear her 30 year old life beginning a new adventure and I got jelous
(See KP, you kept seeing her pregnant in your dreams but I guess maybe this was what you saw)

I am looking to start more adventures and feel my wings open up and spread and I hope that the next 44 years of my life are about that and I pray it is with KP at my side.

If it is meant to be it is up to me!

Find your happiness WhiteKnight - you deserve it.

Don't sit on your butt and wait for things to happen, you can't eat an elephant in one sitting - you have to conquer it 1 BITE at a time.

We all want you to be happy.... so go for it ... little by little, step by step.

Hugs mate!

My fella is 44 and nuttier than squirrel turds, completely high on life. He says that this has been the best year of his life.
Life is as you make it, but also partly dependent on those around you.
I hope you find your happiness too, and soon xxx

Hang in there WhiteKnight, the 50's are fabulous!!!!!!

My 40's were a difficult and unhappy time for me.
I was a little mousie trying to please everyone and
walking on egg shells as I didn't want to hurt anyone's
feelings. I let the fact that my wants might ruffle
someone's feathers stop me from attaining
happiness and living life to the fullest.
At age 48 a close friend (who was my
age) died. It was my wake up call.

The biggest change I made was, I started being honest
and real with people. Even though it meant telling
someone very close to me that I didn't want to be
exclusive with them anymore. It was so freeing
getting it all out in the open. I have never regretted
my honesty.

In my 50's ... I have peace in my heart.
I no longer feel the need to control others.
I no longer let others shift blame on me for things
that are their responsibility.
I'm no longer a caretaker which allows others to
take responsibility for themselves.
I couldn't care less what someone else thinks of me.

Lastly, I finally feel that I'm worthy and deserving of happiness.
Like everyone else I have not arrived, but I'm settling in
and getting comfortable in my own skin.

May the years ahead bring nothing but joy and
happiness your way. Peace.

The middle ages are the worst, they are the old age of youth, and the youth of old age. Responsibility, regrets and guilt creeps in. Mistakes are made to try to counter the loss of youth. In my case, I never followed convention anyway, and I feel as alive as I did before 40. Sex is great. Our marriage is stronger than ever. Husband was my prom date. 1965
