Last week I got the stun of the year...
while I am thinking about KP, my wife, cancer, life, death, the future, my past, sin.....well you get the point...
while I am in that my son decides to tell me he has a girlfriend.
I am thrilled as I never thought he would get the guts to ask a girl out, but I guess he did. And what amazes me is that this kid, who I was sure had no idea what this was all about...hell I am dad and more than 2x his age and I am not sure....started saying the most mature and grounded stuff when I made sure he was not going to make me a grandfather yet. He talked about their futures, education, plans, morality. As I said I guess that our kids shock us at times.....and I like the girl from what I have seen.
