| It's not TV, or HBO, it is just fantasy |

While the writers were on strike I needed a show to get into.
I know that some would say shut off the set and go do something, but I do, but I also love having a show to watch that can take me away from reality for a lil bit...
So I started watching IN TREATMENT on HBO
I have been in therapy for years and tried all kinds of styles from the guy that makes you lay on the couch and just free associate, to just sitting and talking. I have had men and woman as therapists. I am not a therapist shopper, it is just that between moves in location and having two that I thought were not going to move me in a good direction, I have been to 4 people. My current one for 10 years.(Actually 5 if you count my marriage therapist)
My question is: Is anyone else that is watching this show and has been to a therapist watching this and not seeing what they have experienced?
I do not get into these locked battles week after week after week with my therapist. The one guy that it got close to this I left as I saw he was more in need of therapy than I was. When your therapist has obvious mother issues it may be time to go....
Again I know this is TV, but it should be somewhat reality in at least some sense. And as far as I can tell the only one of the people on this show that is getting anywhere in their sessions is Sophie. a 16 year old kid that seems to have all sorts of problems. The rest seem to just be spining wheels!
Anyone else have an opinion on this?
