Ok so as I was saying....Ok I am from NJ so of course I have Bruce on my Ipod, no slef respecting Jersey guy doen't...Bobby Jean which I recently found out was about lil Steven and not a woman. I like this one because I like the tune and the words but again because it reminds me of an old friend that I wonder if we ever really said goodbye the right way. He is still alive and we talk on and off but I really see him as the first good friend I ever had, he and I have grown apart but I never said goodbye the right way. Thunder Road is there because it was how I started my college radio station show and I thought I ws the next Howard Stern before I even knew who he was. I would love to know what I know now and try that show again. Born to Run ..well as it was the first Bruce song most of us knew and it is also almost the unoffical NJ song, so lil needs to be said there. No Surrender, well I really think this is the one song that means the most from this group. I really think that I never truly back down, I am a bull, I never give up on anything I want to the point I make people crazy. While I may back down I never truly retreat. NO RETREAT BABY NO SURRENDER, and I think that in a small way I have used this song to spur me on with KP while she is sick. Anyone that has been sick or known and loved someone that is knows that there are moments that you just want to stop, throw in the towel and give in. it is even harder when the person is on the other side of the world. But in a small way I usally use the chorus of this song as my lil battle cry. Also love the drum work max does on the song. Max Weinburg is the best rock and roll drummer that looks like he is an accountant there has even been..LOL Pay me my money down, saw him do it on Conan O Brien and just loved the song. also the song makes me smile.... Ok getting off the couch for a bit, will be back later for more Ipod therapy later
