Well Freshman year ended, Sophmore year came and went and I sort of floated from girl to girl in my head trying to get a date but none really came, then Junior year.
In alot of ways that is the moment it all came into view for me. I got friends more than before.
I was in the second year of having Mr Ladies Man, better known as my younger brother, in my High School. He was Captain Popular and women chased him...me...well not so much.
But then I met HER, or what I thought would be HER forever. I chased this girl for years. I had parties, bought flowers, serenaded her, even tried to get to her through her mom liking me(Ok yes I know that was stupid but I was trying anything). And to her credit she stayed a great woman. She never treated me bad, she never as rude, she always saw this as a compliment. And when I see her now I see I was probably better off given who she married and few other facts I have heard about her life. .......
Then came the proms....
I asked by my count 25 girls to the prom and go all "no"s. And while after a bit it became almost a joke to see if I could ever get a yes(and yes ladies I know, who wants to be the 10th on your list)......oh and one more HS story to show that maybe life did not want me to have HS girlfriend. In the Summer of my Junior/Senior year I met a girl I worked with and asked her out. She said yes...My first yes...so we went out...and went out 4 or 5 times...then school started and she went to another school...
so what does Mr Romantic do?

I forgot her !!!
Ok to be honest I was not really that sure I wanted to go out w/ her, and as it turns out it was mutual, but we both saw this as practice. But to this day it is the one really weird part of my story w/ women that even I can not explain...How do you forget a girl??!!!! But we had a talk and worked it out and things were OK in the end.....MORE LATER including the "desperate" story.
