 Did we make it worse?
I know this post is going to sound like I am nieve but....

Last night I am watching the Grammy awards, P.S., if  I am not mistaken The Beatles never got a Grammy and now they get one. sort of...a little too late I think.
Anyway I was watching the awards and something hit me:
We have this talented woman that is slowly, or maybe not so slowly, killing herself.  Everyone is trying to get her to stop.  Her most popular song is about people trying to get her to go for help and she refuses and her life is exactly that song !
Is it really smart to give this woman encouragement by awarding her for her work?

Yes, I know, many great artists were on drugs or drank or touched kids or did whatever....and yes, you hold back the awards and it most likely does nothing to slow her down on her path to death.   And I also will admit that the art is the thing really being recognized not the artist, in a sense.   BUT...do we really need to laud all over this woman awards and praise and great acclaim while she slowly kills herself ?
And maybe one person could have said something...a word...a thought...to tell this woman that maybe she needs to get rehab YES YES YES before all those friends of her's are at a funeral.

Let me ask:  It is the mid 60's...you can save Jim Morrison, and Janis Joplin and Hendrix and all of those icons with some pretty great talent...wouldn't you do that?
And yes, this woman is not yet these people, but who knows she could be for all I know, but to ignore her issues and praise her seems a bad idea

Yes, Amy Winehouse...and sure, it is no one elses buisness, but then I do not want to hear the world cry when she dies from doing them. You can't have the cake and eat it too

I have heard that song on the radio, but I never knew all of this.
Just by the song alone, I say NO award.
I do not like it, it was annoying to me and I changed the station when it came on.
Award?
You have got to be kidding, there are so many other songs that deserve an award.
