Did not mean 60 was old, what I meant was that at 60 you do not let the climb obsess you. My dad is well over 60 and still runs his company almost f/t, and would if my brother was not as good as he is at running it when he is gone.

Guy, you will never ever get her or anyone else if you see yourself the way you do.
I am an expert in pining for a woman and I relate to your hurt more than you can know. I will say on difference is that the woman I love KNOWS how deeply I love her and it is more life/distance/circmstances keeping us apart.
I think as many times as people have not understood my story and given me the simple advice of going to see her, I will give that advice to you.

If this comes out sounding like a defense, it is FAR from it:
In hospitals you see it all, as you know Bullseye, and I think saddly that after a bit you get a real hardcoating and forget that this is about people !
Where I work everyday you see people in medical &, and because of the medical issues, money issues. After a bit if you don't build that shell you get a lil crazy.
This woman sounds like her shell has grown too hard and too thick and she forgot that while she may need a break from the non-stop parade it will still come and that those are people and they are dealing w/ life and death and they need to have coverage at that desk.

I know a guy that left his pregnant wife, while she was bedridden w/ twins, then moved in with his girlfriend and then moved a 19 yr old in with him and the gf and said the 19 yr old was just a friend and while this was going on he gave the gf an engagement ring btw....the twins just had their 6th borthday...oh and why is that important?
Mom and Dad are still married !

This is one of my favorite subjects...as you could guess...LOL
But I think online you have to TALK and not just see, you can't simply kiss or have sex and cover over flaws with physical.
KP and I have spent hours talking and since you have to keep talking you start to say things that you would not get to if you were there.
You can not talk about the tree, the car, the couple at the next table on a date....you need to talk about yourself and the other person...and then by sheer volume, if you are a fake you will slip up.

I am treading lightly here buT i will say this...If my wife would have the internal fortitude to even think about doing that, and the ability to turn what was a BIG NEGATIVE into a small, even small, positive some other shmuck would be on here as WhiteKnight.
I know, like many do, that our actions cause pain and I think that the test...and yes this may sound self serving...is what the person does to minimize the pain for the partner.
You seemed to find a small way to minimize yours by standing up to her w/o really ever bringing it up.

Shemelts:Well according to my atty she does get money. Trust me, and I blogged on this months ago...why I sweat my brains out in French 4 and then worked my way up the ladder, and she got dumpy jobs and never completed college and now I have to pay for her inability to earn makes me sick.
And thanfully, I do not need that talk. The kid has two jobs and is "looking"(here is where I think you have to know my son, what boy his age w/ the amount he has in the bank which aint bad trust me is not looking at every hunk a junk?)for a car.
In fact, truth be told, the kid has two jobs now and will in the summer.
So there I am lucky.

Long ago: I am not sure I was truly in love w/ her when I met her and married her.
But to answer the larger issue, I have thought about this and it relly is more an issue of two things, alimony and the son
I can not afford to pay her and support myself. I guess paying the light, heat, rent, etc all by myself for years while she spent herself into crushing debt on her own cards has made me a little more in debt than I should be.
And the son:He will basically be living w/ me as she plans to move 4 towns away, that means my car as his car, my life becomes a caufuer service for him while she gets away doing little...oh and I pay his grocery bill too...and this is for a child that is now 18(so not a child) and is not legally mine.
This has been discussed and on some level I think she knows she has me over this barrel.

My comment is more on the first part
I do not get why people do not understand why I LOVE being home alone so I can get things done !
You can pile things on the floor, you do not need to worry about people needing to get by, you can leave the TV on what you want as a background noise, you do not need to worry am I bothering the other person or if they want to nap(which at times is my wife's national pastime) am I keeping her up....
Alone is the best time to get alot done...

He was a cute guy that made you feel like a woman again, so you gave him a shot....I think if he realized that he might have played the "game" of dating different and maybe got all he wanted and more.
