The scene was white. I wished I had my digital camera, however I can't seem to find it. On I20 from Dallas the snow flurries and sleet made the surroundings nice for the Lone Star State. The last time it snowed was a few months ago but it was too warm to stick. Today was beautiful. To a northerner the lil bit of snow/sleet was nothing compared to the amounts they receive each year. I was not the only one who enjoyed the weather; many Tylerites commented on the event and appreciation once I returned. I guess there is beauty in everything, even when cars have spun into ditches. Snow in Texas is rare at best.
While conducting research a few years ago I came along a website I would like to share with fellow bloggers. www.lonestarauctioneers.com. Lone Star Auctioneers services surrounding counties and government orgazinations i.e. City of Dallas Autos, City of Lewisville, U.S. Marshals Service Forfeited Jewelry Auction, and others. The items you can find at an auction are amazing. The price is far less than what you would pay retail and you can afford to splurge a lil bit. I attended one a few years ago, but the jewelry was out of my price range at the moment due to jewelry store owners purchasing the majority of the items. I was only able to buy some jerseys that I later sold for a lil profit, kept a few. I felt it was a great opportunity but you have to do your homework on prices or someone will run the price sky high. Feel free to check out all the auctions at the website, especially for those who need a car.
