Changing our thoughts and attitudes requires effort. But anything that doesn't require effort isn't worth having. I found this saying searching on the internet this morning. "You will never have what you want if you give up; things will not come to you on a silver platter" were the words of my mother that soon followed. Lately, I have found myself sliding away from God and focusing on past things which I have been forgiven from. It's called the trick of the enemy; we challenge (beat up) ourselves with thoughts and evil desires that God has forgiven us from. If you have ever wondered do Christians no longer face shortcomings, desires, and thoughts of the past, I will inform you no. It's us, humans, who allow the past thoughts to creep up when we take our eye off the Father, spiritual. The desires are many and the Lord knows all; furthermore, God can assist through the challenges, whether short or long term peace is given. A friend asked a question the other day to which I now know the answer. We are a source of help, inspiration, and guidance for others who may be searching for answers throughout life. Searching for something, anything, meaning, the right thing, God.

Father
I praise your Holy name.
I thank you for your son, his sacrifice
I confess my own weakness and shortcomings
I beg your forgiveness
I praise you Father.
Amen
From this day
Father continue to use me for your good.
I give all things to you;
for I am just a man,broken,
but forgiven
and strengthened through you!
Amen
