ugh. that's the first thing i have to say about house hunting. haha. it's not going too well. i know everyone says the market is good and it's a buyer's market and all. i guess people are really taking advantage of it! my fiance and i are looking for a home and we look on sundays. less than 1 wk later the houses that we liked are under contract! we are looking into one now that we liked a lot. it's very spacious and in a decent area.

thats another problem, finding a good area. since we don't have a ton of money, we cant afford a house in a great area. we're not looking in the worst areas thankfully, but we are somewhere in between. the place we're looking at now is in an ok area but there is a decent amount of crime, which makes me uncomfortable.

BUT i need to be thankful that i can look for a house. and thankful even more so that i live in a great one now. i know people out there don't have that luxury. they're homeless or live in horrible conditions and their children grow up in scary and drug-infested neighborhoods. that's why i am happy that i can help Lorena, the girl i sponsor through Compassion 

She goes to their school and church programs which I think will help her learn to be able to use her resources to the best of her ability and live in a good area. So while I know its frustrating for me, i should be lucky for the frustration!
