We [I?] made the decision to stop trying. To take the stress off and just let it happen.
Soon after, I got an awesome job.

And we've been watching Friends on DVD...and in seasons 4 & 5, Phoebe acts as a surrogate for her brother and sister in law.
And then today I read an article in Time, I think, about surrogates. I've always read about and heard about women who do this beautiful thing, and even considered it at times...but now I'm really thinking about it. I'll talk to Rob about it tonight, when he's done with his homework.
For one thing, it's helping couples who can't otherwise have children, which is amazing. For another, it's some serious money. I know, that sounds ridiculous and greedy, however, it makes perfect sense. Women often get paid $20,000 for being a surrogate. Sure, it's really emotional and tough, but it's good money and a good wayfor me to experience being pregnant without having to deal with the stress and pressure of it actually being MY baby.
