Tomorrow is an important day in the life of America.  Almost half of the States in our Union will offer their citizens the opportunity to vote in Presidential primaries which will help determine this November’s presidential candidates.

Primary voting is not an empty exercise.

It is an affirmation that each citizen in these states has the privilege of having their voice heard throughout the political process.  America is not a monarchy run by bloodline royalty or a corporation run by an elite board.  We are a Republic where we freely elect the representatives who govern us.

So, whatever your political persuasion, I encourage you to vote tomorrow.

By doing this, you validate the blood shed by our citizens over three centuries to purchase and protect our freedom.  You defy the pervasive cynicism and apathy of our age.  You add your voice to millions of Americans whose collective chorus will deafen our enemies and embolden our allies.

When we go to the polls, we celebrate that what unites us as Americans is far greater than what separates us as Republicans, Democrats, or Independents.

For those of you who might be interested, I plan to cast my vote for Mike Huckabee.

I respect the other Republican candidates and refuse to demonize the Democratic candidates.  I am voting for Governor Huckabee because he has extensive experience running a government where both sides of the aisle must work together for the good of everyone.  I am voting for Mike Huckabee because he has innovative, yet common-sense strategies for reducing government while strengthening our military, our borders, our energy independence, and our homeland security.  I am voting for him because I believe that—while he has feet of clay just like the rest of us—Mike Huckabee is a man of real biblical values with a heart directed toward serving the poor and disenfranchised while being fair to the entrepreneurs and innovators who fuel our economy.

In spite of the Media reducing the Republican primary to a two-man race, none of the top three candidates has even 100 delegates yet, and tomorrow more than a thousand will be chosen.

That’s why tomorrow is so important.

Please vote your heart.

Please vote your mind.

But no matter what, please vote.
