 Freedom Isn’t Free
Why is it that everyone who supports the war in Iraq, when loosing their verbal battles they personally attack their opponent.  I’m really starting to hate these so-called patriots calling everyone who disagrees with the war or president traitors or unpatriotic.

I don’t care that we’re in the middle of a war.  Don’t get me wrong; I support the troops, god I was one for 20 years.  Another thing that bothers me is when these same people hide behind the brave troops, saying the troops shouldn’t leave in dishonor.  Who’s honor are they really trying to preserve.  Honor means nothing if you’re dead, no military person in his/her right mind will say I’d rather die then go home.  Death before dishonor went out years ago.  The honorable thing to do is be true to the troops.  It dishonors them when their leaders lie to them and Bush and his underlings have.

Now they’ve started talking of Iran.  We can’t afford another war, not in the lives of our troops and not with the money it will cost.  I’m really starting to wonder who is profiting from the war.  They say we can’t let Iran get Nuclear weapons.  Let them and tell them that we have bigger and better ones and if they ever threaten anyone or actually use them that we WILL use ours.  No ifs no ands no buts, we will nuke their entire country.  There we don’t have to send in troops to die for nothing.

Honestly I think honor is one majior thing that matters when your dead, yeah you can't glorify in it, but your name will be remember if what ever you did was heroric, then yeah I do believe it is. I might of read it wrong or maybe not. Nice blog though, kudos. -Luke

I consider it different when you have one person die with honor doing a heroic act. But when we’ve had thousands of brave troops die the honor gets lost. How many brave troops do you remember from the Vietnam War, Korean War, WW 2, WW 1 and just keep going? One person doing a brave selfless act is a hero, thousands is just wrong.

The thing about America, is it does not even feel as if we are in a war.
Sad thing is, I forget about the war until I read something or watch the news about it.
Is that a bad thing or a good thing?
I cannot tell yet.
