Got up this morning at 03:15 - after a wakeup call from my secretary - just as tired as when I went to bed at 12:45.... Got ready for work in record time and met the rest of the "expedition" at the office. Arrived at JHB International - excuse me OR Tambo - boarding gates and realized that I had no ID,Passport or Drivers License with me but we managed to sweet talk the airline personnell into letting me board without the necessary personal identification -- Gotto love this country of ours........
Arrived in Durban and felt the heat and humidity immediatedly - It was hot and humid as hell.
We took care of business by 14:00 - Think this visit caused more waves than a Tsunami..... and decided to get something to eat before we boarded the plane - Plenty of time left :-) Who could resist a cold Miller's on a day like this?? One, became two and two became ..... Boarding time was 16:45 but we only managed to find our way to the boarding gate at 17:05 but by this time the beers were doing a good job at keeping us "calm" and "on top" of things. Wait, before I continue, what did the one mango say to the other mango as they were going down the hill? : Go Man Go Man Go.Ok so it's not funny now but when you have a bunch of passengers staring at Mango Airplanes it adds new meaning to the joke -- We were all laughing so loud they must have thought that we tested the durban narcotics. My colleague got to know the air hostess a bit better -- Michelle I believe. Lost our JHB parking ticket but managed to laugh our asses off through the whole experience...
You know those days when so many things go wrong and you still manage to feel great about the fact that the sun came up that morning? Well, today was that day for me. We had a blast, got new business, laughed constantly - to the point where we had tears in our eyes over the simplest of things -- Like the guy we now refer to as the Boeing 747 Bouncer.
Today was awesome!!!!! and I thought I should share this with you all. I need to get my digital camera sorted............!!
