 New Semester
Hello all,

A few changes on the college front, but first just wanted to say how much I enjoyed being home over break. It was great fun seeing everyone and I can’t wait to be back (or to be visited). School has been great so far this semester. I am taking another Spanish course, another Philosophy course, and an introductory Economics course.

More notably, I’ve changed my majors and minors, hopefully for good. I am still majoring in Philosophy, which is the first major that will show up on my transcript. My second major is now Economics, and I’ve switched my Spanish major to a minor in Hispanic Studies. I am only 3 classes short of finishing up the minor, two of which I plan to fulfill when I study abroad in Latin America or Barcelona, ideally the summer after junior year.

I have a lot of work to do, especially for the Econ major, but it should be achievable. I’ve roughly mapped out the rest of my college career, class-wise at least. I’m planning on staying this summer, as well as the study abroad program next summer, so I should be well on pace to get the requirements done.

Other than classes, everything’s gone well. Tracy and I are still dating, I guess just over five months now, and we’re having a good time together. We spent the past three-day weekend in Myrtle Beach, thanks to my mom, who gave me a golfing/lodging gift for my high school graduation. It was a great time.

Otherwise, I basically just watch sports on TV, play ball, and golf. The intramural season started for 5-on-5 last week, and we won our first game 49-13. It was really fun, albeit not an accurate representation of the competition we’ll be facing down the road. We should make the playoffs with one more win, and then from there it’s something like 7 straight wins for a championship. If you win it all you get a t-shirt, which is quite coveted around campus.

I guess that’s all the news I have. I hope life is good across the country, and I love you all.

David
