Amanda - Part 7
Part 7

Jumping ahead a few years audio drama today still prevails are a large audience continues to exist for “spoken-word audio programming”. evidence of this lies in the 3 most popular kinds of audio programming that exist:
1. Talk Radio
2. Old Time Radio Programming
3. Audio Books or ‘Talking Books’

There are also 3 kinds of audio drama methods that are used in today’s recordings and these are:
1. Live Performance: this is the method that was used in audio theatre until the 1960’s. this is a very theatrical performance, with live actors, sounds, musicians and other live aspects.
2. Multitrack Studio: this is the method that is most widely used. Voices, sound, music and so on are pre recorded, mixed and edited until the desired result is reached and then broadcast once the desired result is achieved.
3. Location Production: in this method only one microphone is used with actors performing live sounds such as ice in a glass, doors closing and opening, footsteps and so on. Scenes are shot both on site as well as in the studio. Multitrack and digital technology are also used in conjunction with this method to enhance results of the final product giving a very refined product.
