| Father's Day |
So I hope everyone's weekends went well. My father's day was spent without my dad, but hey, what can ya do? On Thursday I searched Target and Micheal's high and low for a model of either a yellow '72 Plymouth 'Cuda or a blue '69 Roadrunner, but couldn't find either. (The Roadrunner is what my dad used to have, now he owns the 'Cuda.) Then Friday while I was away in Driver's Education, my uncle found a build-it-yourself model of a '71 'Cuda. I was elated! I started on it right away. I knew I wouldn't get it finished in time, so I bought this really great card from Target to send him in the meantime. I also called him to to wish him a Father's
Day. He then proceeded to tell me that he would call me back, because he was at Sea World with my little sisters. I asked him why I hadn't come and he explained it cost too much to come pick me up. Sea World is in San Antonio. I live in Austin. :/ And he never called me back. But oh well. What's done is done.
As of right now, it is 6:49pm on the Monday after Father's Day. I have the engine painted and put together, I've also finished painting the body, and am working on painting the chassis. My dad has no idea I'm doing the project. I can't wait to get it finished and sent to him. ^_^
Tell me what you did for Father's Day!
