I think... that despite it all, you care alot about your friend. I know it's hard to bear with at times, but your friend's struggle with depression has it's ups and downs, and there's no guarantee that things will get better for him tomorrow. Speaking as someone who suffers from depression- I think you're a tremendous blessing to Josh. I can't say that I have any friends willing to get angry at me BECAUSE they know that I deserve better, but let me just tell you that you can't give up on him.

The hardest battles are yet to come, and he's going to need you by his side when they do come, I know that it pains you at times, but it's not something that he can help, you've just got to hold fast and be patient- I know that day when he can be happy is coming. I hope you believe it too. :)
