I feel so at peace with myself, I feel so clear in my mind. I cant explain it even.
I think maybe this is because I have learned self love, I always thought I have treated myself well but I didnt really understand. I get it now. I can not take care of anyone unless I take care of myself first. I mean more then eating right and working out, I mean body, mind, spirit the complete package. I have just started to learn the total concept and I feel great. I'm going for a complete day at the spa, I mean really I have wanted to do this for years and have just never taken the time, I guess I thought I was not that important. But now I know I am. Before I guess I thought it was selfish. I'm excited, I'm gonna call right now.
O.K. I'm so excited tomorrow at 1
I'm going for the massage, facial, foot detox, the works. It's good to take care of me.
I am going to pay alot of attention to me. I'm deserving. So why have I always thought it to be selfish?
That is something I would like to figure out, why when we take care of so many other people, we feel it selfish to take care of ourselves? I dont think that is fair. If we spend all of our time taking care of everybody else, who will take care of us? And when we get sick, who will take care of the people we have been taking care of?
Something to really think about, I am starting to take care of me and it feels good, my mind is clear and sharp.

Kudos! I am glad to hear you are treating yourself so well! I think as women it is our nature to take care of others selflessly, but we need to remember to do a little something for ourselves too! I get caught in this, I stay home with my 3 kids, one disabled and my hubby works sooo hard for us, I don't want to lean on him for stuff, but I have been trying more and more to make myself some time, either on here or in the bathtub with a good book.

Good for you Rajah! You have the most demanding job of all. The most rewarding but none the less the demands are great.

Scripture is taken so wrong...it says this!
Love others AS you Love yourself.
Do unto others as you would have them do unto YOU!
Everyone always overlooks the ME part in those phrases.
You hit the nail right on the head saying that you cannot take care of others if you do not first take care of yourself.
Where do you think the LOVE for others comes from?
It comes from within us.
If we have no love for ourselves inside of us...we will surely have none to give away.
