I just read a post today about a dream and it reminded me of something I need to remember.
I was told by a very wise soul "Lynette, be still"
I thought alot about that, I am always in action, I am never still.
I thought about the advice and once in a while I would just stop and be still, it was out of the ordinary for me but it was very beneficial.
Is what I got out of that was that I am able to recieve when I'm still.
I need to remember that more often. Just be still. |

This post brought to mind several of my favorite verses from the Psalms.
There are times when nothing I do seems to move things along or
bring about the results I want. Sometimes all one can do is be still,
rest and wait for God's perfect timing. God is moving even when we
are not.
Psalm 46: 10 ...
Be still and know that I am God.
Psalm 27:14 ...
Wait for the Lord;
be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.
Psalm 4:8 ...
I will lie down and sleep in peace,
for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.
Wishing you a day filled with God's peace.

Colorado I have just started reading the Bible.
I decided that was a missing link in my life.
I'm looking forward to the learning, I'm open.
Nice to hear from you!
Peace

TJ...That is great advice...I do yoga and have learned to meditate. Being still in meditation heals my soul. I find peace when turmoil is all around me when I am still. Be still and breathe slow and deep, feel anxiety lift away! God Bless Sweetie!

Be still and know that I am God is also my favourite verse from the Bible. It comes to me so often when I am doing too much and getting nowhere. I do so hope you find the missing link in your life. I did and it has changed everything for me for the better. I also wish I had found it years ago but I believe God wanted me to have those experiences so I can identify with others. May your journey be an exciting and blessed one. Elaine

overthehill thanks for the comment.
I believe you are so right about needing to have the experiences to idenify.
If you dont have the experience and you try to teach others it is only preaching. If you have the experience it's called sharing :)
Make it a great day!

Resting in the arms of Jesus must be where I have been lately because with all that's going on I feel peaceful.
Something to ponder!

missmarie Have people told you to calm down or be still, there is a difference.
I have had people explain to me that they want me to be still, meaning calm my mind, not my body!
yoga, meditation, something along those lines.
What do you think?
