Who doesn’t like to get a high five? No one that I have ever met, that’s who. Everyone likes the high five. I started the high five at my work. And now everyone that works there does it. And it sure was easy for me to get other people to high five me.
When I started my job at Kohl’s, it was very boring for me. I just wanted to have fun when I was at work. So I started some fun that I knew people would be willing to get on board with.
It helped to develop cohesion within the group there. I know that a lot of people that work at Kohl’s haven’t quit, just because of me. I try to listen to other people’s problems about work, help them find better ways of handling them. I just don’t want to lose the friends that I have made there. They are all very important to me. Even if I am only a “work” friend, I don’t want to lose them as friends. I am tired of just being a person that you are only friends with because of the convenience. You would not have picked me out of a crowd to be buddies with.
I seem to do this where ever I work. Build a group of friends and then I quit the job and I never see them ever again. I hate it. I need to figure out how to keep in touch with so many people.
The worst part of all of this is, now my brother won’t high five me anymore. It is something that we have both done for a long time. He thinks that it should die before it becomes over rated and boring. I don’t get why. I have been doing it for a long time, with many different groups of friends. It is now part of my personal identity.
I love to high five. Even my boss, Sara, likes to high five. I don’t know why my bother doesn’t want to high five anymore.

Awesome entry. I enjoyed reading this. Hope your brother over comes his anti-high five issue.
