I'm a pretty hateful person. I've always hated most everyone. It wasn't ever what I call an "active" hate, it was more indifference. In other words, I didn't wish harm or ill will on another person, but I didn't care if it happened.
Lately I've been thinking that I was wrong to be that way. I've tried to be more sympathetic to others. And once again, being more sympathetic has bitten me on the ass. So I'm done.
I don't have enough energy to care about everyone. So if you want me to care about you you had better act like it. Otherwise you can go join the rest of the world and fuck off.
It's easier to hate than it is to love.

hate is a very powerful word and feeling to possess, so as you say, maybe its more indifference or just being kicked by the wrong people, also, as you pointed out, you didnt care if it happened, perhaps others are frightened by you or dont feel able to approach you?
once bitten twice shy as the saying goes, so naturally you feel 'whats the point?' so for what its worth, i understand the way you feel. hang in there hon and in my opinion, its nicer to care than to 'hate'.

I don't know if it's easier or not, but i can understand where you're coming from.
I managed to go on for years without taking the time to really care about stuff. I was detached, and I liked it that way, because I could control it.

How about, "it's less painful to hate than it is to love."
