Sun sets on waters edge
river gently sighs.
Crickets play an endless song
welcoming in the night.
Supper smells come wafting by
on a breeze thats gently blowing
childrens laughter over heard
while mothers hang their clothing.
lovers holding hands in the park
strolling ever so slow
knowing that this spring sunset
is theres and theres alone.
I've spent the day with my boywonder, and the weather was fantastic! So yesterday I stumbled, today he helped me up. I hope all the world found a smile in a childs face today, it may very well be the cure for all ills.

Beautiful poem. The laughter of a child can bring sunshine and smiles to even the worst day. I love the sound of crickets on a warm Summer evening. It's makes me feel that all is well with the universe. Peace.

A tortured soul with a poet's heart. I'm glad you found some peace today. And I'm glad you shared it with us. Thanks, Tony
