I hide my heart in code and innuedo
behind words that only you would know
and across the room I watch you as you go
I staked my claim, professed my love
and waited for a reply
you took my hand said "thats sweet"
and left me with good bye.
I understand how its written your heart belongs to another
and so I keep my thoughts and prayers of being your lover
I write my ryhmes and bid my time
and still I think of you
and how it came to be
that I found a heart so true
My head spins, my heart skips
and yet I know
that if it was ment to be
why wasn't it writtin in stone?
So love him doll
and hold him tight
knowing thats its you I see
in my dreams tonight
