did you feel me as I kissed yuor lips?
did you notice that I was there
or were you always thinking it was him?
Did you cry when you read my words?
did you know they were all for you?
Was it something I forgot?
is there more that I should do?
or is it that you never cared
just needed a place to rest
I gave you everything I had
and wanted for you the best
and still you wish it were his face
you saw as you kissed my lips
and now I stand here in the rain
wondering how I got like this.
See me woman ,not the past
and maybe you would find
that happiness and true romance
and even love are not far behind.
It is what it is, and I truly have no regrets because I spent one night in an angels arms even if it wasn't me she wanted to be with.

Some times people look too good to be true. Most women don't make any big decisions on a dime, especially when they have a child they throw into every choice. Some times you need to know your not on the rebound. One chapter may need to close before begining another. Maybe the goodness you offer is just coming a little too soon. Anyway beautifully expressed!
