My stepdad had an episode Sunday, and the doctors arent sure if it was a mild heart attack or some nerve damage from the concusion blast he suffered in Iraq. He passed out and his heart did stop for the slightest second. I wanted to repost this poem I wrote for him, and ask that all my friends and family here pray for him as we try to heal what ever it is that did this.
To SSgt. Kielman
I'm no hero
but I serve with pride.
And for my family
I'd give my life
And that flag waves
there at half mast
for soldiers who've givin their Last
but I'm no hero
I just do my job
I fight for Family
country and God
I'm no hero
though my chest is adorned
with medals and ribbons
for my part in the war
but I'm no hero
I just do my job
so let me be a soldier
thats all I got
My step-father is an amazing man, solid as oak, and never waivers. A soldier, a father and a friend. He's a quiet man who loves his job, loves what his uniform stands for. He's no hero. Ask him he wont tell ya, thats just the man he is. So to you Chuck, thank you for being this family's soldier, thank you for be a hero. To all those "heroes" who'd rather just be soldiers, I thank you too. God bless our uniformed fighting men and women, even if I dont belive in this war.

Tony,
One hell of a man, for his service alone, but to hear you rave about him they way you do! He has to be even more THE man! My thoughts are with him....Tell him I said get better.... And it don't matter if he don't want the compliments or the worry.... He deserves it...
