Some background: I have three roommates, two women (ages 22 and 23, who I'll call Alex and Ellen) and a man (somewhere around 26, I'm going to call him Matt). I'm 32. We all get along really well, we're all great people.
It's interesting how different people are. Alex has been with the same guy since she was 15. It's funny how she talks about dating because although she "dated" before, she was 15 when she met her fiance. That's all cool and everything; she always knew what she wanted, and she's from a small town and that's kinda what people do. No disrespect intended. My experience has been that it's a lot different from more urban areas, like where I'm from. Or maybe it's just me. Totally a one-guy girl.
Anyway, when Matt and I moved in here at the same time, he was dating a girl and talking about moving out of state to marry her in a couple of months. Yet in just a month or two, he brought a girl home from a party and had monkey sex loud enough to wake the entire world! He did eventually break up with his girlfriend (I don't know if he told her the truth or not) and then started seeing the girl he'd brought home pretty much immediately. They're still together, a year later. Serial monogamist, I guess.
Then there's Ellen. She is very perky, very cute and very outgoing. And oh so young. Sweet girl, but wow! She's on patrol. She recently met a guy off craigslist.org and slept with him several times before she realized she kinda liked him. She's promiscuous (I only mean this in its purest form: lots of partners).
And I'm pickier. I've been on a ton of dates in the last year (thanks to craigslist.org), but I haven't had a "boyfriend" in a year and a half and it's been slightly longer than that since I've had sex. Not to say I'm not horny, because hello? Did you read the "slightly longer than a year and half since I've had sex" part? But it's not my way to go out and get laid. I'm not sure how I'd categorize myself. I'm a serial monogamist, I guess, but I'm certainly not one to string 'em one after the other. Maybe I'm the weird one. :)
I met a guy and he's really shy. It's taking a while to get him comfortable with me. He so shy, though, that I start to wonder if he likes me. I'm pretty sure he does, but I want him to kiss me. I have a feeling that sooner or later I'm going to take the bull by the horns, so to speak. :) I want more from him. I really, really like this guy. We have similar values, we have so much fun together, we want the same things. Mostly. :P

This guy sounds interesting.... but i think sometimes you have to be careful with shy people... sometimes they are fakers sometimes they are uncomfortable... and sometimes they are just waiting for someone else to take charge... maybe you could try telling this potential that you would like to kiss him.. see how he reacts! And then BOW CHICKA WOW WOW! LOL Good Luck!!

with that guy, try something if your willing. Take him to either your house or his, (preferebly his to make him more comfortable) Sit somewhere comfortable and give him a little excitement, unbutten your shirt a little or something like that, if he gets a boner or shows excitement, then you know he is interested and that he really wants you but is afraid to admit it because he does not want to scare you off. Believe me I know the minds of guys. If this works or you need something less premiscuas just mail me.

You can listen to technerd. I know him and he is really good at giving advice. I know I can ask him and he would help me in any situation.
