I admit it.  It's nothing new to those who know me, but I love Buffy the Vampire Slayer.  I've been watching my DVDs from the beginning and I'm about halfway through season 3.  It's amazing how much I had forgotten.

The language.  How funny is it that someone tells Buffy that her job is fruitless, and she replies, "No fruit for Buffy."  It's such a cute turn of phrase.  Or how Willow says she doodles, she does doodle and Buffy does doodle too!

The relationships.  The scooby gang, for sure.  The emergence of goodness with Cordelia.  Giles and Joyce getting it on in the episode, Band Candy.  As much as I couldn't stand Faith, her relationship with the mayor was golden.  And of course, Buffy and Angel.  Who doesn't want a love like that?  Though less tragic, I mean.  When you can have a moment of pure bliss with someone.  And then later, there's Willow and Tara.  I cried when Tara was shot.  I understood Willow's rage and her desire to hurt Warren like he'd hurt her.  And then Spike.  Talk about a transformation!  He was crazy with Drusilla and then he was an impotent, reluctant help.  Then he was hot and sexy and then he tried to rape Buffy and I hated him.  I really hated him and was mad at the writers for doing that to Spike and to Buffy and to me!  But then he came back, and he gave Buffy the perfect speech when he went to find her after the potentials and Faith kicked her out.  Sigh.
