Spending so much time glued to this computer is addicting. Trying to keep up with people. Trying to stay out of the fray of all the drama. So much to see, so much to hear, so much to learn.
But guess what? I looked out of my window just now and realized that there's a whole world right outside that is just waiting to be lived in. There's sunshine, trees, flowers, birds, bugs, water, all waiting right outside.
I've watched the kids before when we play. They're so fascinated by everything that's around them. Most of the kids have never seen a computer, they're more interested in the lizard or the rock or the stick they found.
So I'm going to take a bold step. I'm going to step away from the computer and limit my computer time, because I want to live. I need to see the sunshine and feel the wind more.
I challenge each person to spend at least one hour outside. Even if it's just playing and dancing in the rain. If there's lightning come inside, of course. But there's a beautiful world right outside and I want to take in as much as possible.
If you need me, I'll be outside!
