okay, so it's been awhile since ive posted, and a lot of good things and bad things have come about since then. lets start at the beginning
Friday was a bad day, involving t.robinson, and the reverse initials of that name "RT." we had a tournament at central(yes, thehistorical landmark) and we didnt even move to semifinals in that event. RT=readers theatre.
Saturday was a great improvement on friday. we went for the individual event section of the tournament. i competed in oratory, extemporaneous speaking, and solo acting. in solo, i moved from prelims to semis, and then lost. it was bad. but hey, my oratory didnt break at all. extemp on the other hand, was my best event. i had the prelim topic "has the iphone lived up to its' media hype." my personal favorite topic. i hate the iphone... they suck. but then i broke to semifinals, where i drew the topic "should private security firms be allowed to operate in iraq?" we had no info on this particular topic, yet i still was one of the best in the round. i was even told that "aside from a few organizational faults, i seemed to know the politics of the situation very well." i guess it's true that bullshit politics run the U.S. so then i went to finals where i drew the topic "what steps can the world community take to limit china's use of cyberterrorism?" basically, i related the topic to the three pigs(pigs=france, us, germany...wolf=china...wolf's breath=internet) so yeah...lol. it worked, i got 1st place
as for after the tourney, i slept and slept and slept. that's my weekend in a nutshell...
