| In the blink of an eye...

Time flew and suddenly here I am married for 19 days.
It was a beautiful wedding - a true blessing of a day. There were so many ways we both felt the love of those around us and even in those moments of stress or fear or frustration, there was this general sense of peace. I think it was a relaxed wedding yet it felt meaningful and important and respectful. I could not have asked for a more beautiful day creation-wise. God makes all things beautiful and yet the day we had, July 3, 2008 was one that just filled your heart with joy and renewal because the sun was so so bright yet the air was cool and gentle. The whole weekend was beautiful actually. While we didn't have an outdoor wedding, it made everything so serene - to have nice weather. In a nutshell here are my highlights
- the rehearsal & rehearsal dinner (so big but so wonderful because it was full of family from far and near)
- my two bridesmaids who came across the country (one from the east, one from the west) to be there for me
- seeing my husband for the first time - utterly nerve-wracking because of how long it took to "set" us up for our first meeting but it was so exciting!!!
- receiving a beautiful thoughtful note from my almost-husband right before our first meeting - and a slightly "naughty" one after :)
- taking pictures at the park
- holding it together (until the very last part of the walk down the aisle) for almost all of the wedding
- the wonderful musicians - all 12 of them - a brass ensemble, harpist, pianist, and soloist - and ALL related to us!!!
- crazy dancing with my crazy cousins (who you would NEVER think are that crazy)
- my guests who were so loving and relaxed throughout the entire evening
